Now that spring is here and the snow is FINALLY melting, New Yorkers quickly figure out how to spend as much time as possible outside, under the warmth of the sun.

EAST SIDE’S SECOND AVENUE SUBWAY

The last two phases of the Second Avenue Subway line will bring service up to Harlem first and then to Midtown and neighborhoods below it all the way down to East 14th Street! But for now the new access have New Yorkers riding and re-exploring the upper East Side! The expansive and mesmerizing installations are the largest permanent public art installation in New York State history, and dozens of works spread out over the four stations along the extension.

WEST SIDE’S CARTER BURDEN GALLERY



Tucked in on the West Side is the Carter Burden Gallery. A gallery that supports belief that older, lesser-known artists must not be overlooked due to age or decreased marketability in the current art scene.

Carter Burden Gallery targets NYC artists over the age of 60, go and support a culturally-diverse community of re- emerging artists.
